Hard-hitting Czech Petra Kvitova advanced to the finally round of the U.Azines. Open on Thursday, whipping China’s Yafan Wang 7-5 6-3 to keep her desire winning a third Grand Bust title alive.

The fifth start up converted five of eight break points and dismissed from your job down four aces for you 24-year-old Wang packing in a match which lasted just under two hours with a hot and humid day at Flushing Meadows.

The match looked like it would be any one-sided affair when the twice Wimbledon safe bet raced to a 4-1 lead in the first set but Wang came roaring back to level the established at 5-5.

Kvitova would not be denied, having said that, unleashing her powerful forehand together with elevating her play to help capture the final two video game titles of the set before smooth sailing to victory.

Next up to the Czech is a third-round meeting with 20-year-old number Twenty six seed Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus.

Kvitova won their own only previous meeting around three sets on the hardcourts with the Miami Open this year.
